Our traditions, culture, never taught us to go against the nature and build shelters, rather it encourages to make it from nature, by collecting various natural elements, without disturbing it.
This art of working hand in hand with nature is now, slowly, getting ignored. The present short documentary, highlights, the traditional art of making such, small shelters in Gaganbawada, Dist. Kolhapur.

The human, have changed the patterns of living and shelter from period to period, as per his needs & requirements. Today, this need, is not a basic need, but rather a status symbol and means of luxury. This attitude of human has threatened the balance of symbiotic living with nature. And, Man, not only experiencing its dangerous impacts, but also, missing the joy of living with them.

Shooting Location:-
‘Paschima’, Survenagar, Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

This documentary is the out come of documentation about the bird life found in a small residential plot. The present plot is with area around 4300 Sq. Ft. along with aeco-friendlyhouse, in a sub - urban area in Kolhapur. This site witnessed the life of around 35 types of birds (About 10% - 12%, that found in Kolhapur district).
